The Slot feature of the language processing engine enables you to map specific words or phrases to slots. For example, you may want to map NYC to New York, or Big Apple to NYC. You can do this by selecting the slot’s name from the Select Slot menu. A colored underline appears to indicate the value of the selected word/phrase. You can edit or delete a slot by selecting it from the Slots tab. This article explores the various ways you can use slots in your language processing engine.

While traditional three-reel slot machines had one single payline, multi-line machines have several lines. This allows you to bet on more than one payline and earn multiple credits for matching symbols. Multi-line machines have one, three, or five paylines, while older machines may have more than fifteen. Most multi-line slot machines accept variable credits, ranging from one to fifteen, with the higher amount being the higher the payout. Some machines also feature bonus features that are aligned with their themes.

In the fifth edition of the American Heritage Dictionary, the term “Slot” appears as a synonym of “slotted.” A slot is a grammatical construction that can fit any morpheme sequence. For example, a slotted job in a newspaper may be the interior opening in the copy desk of the chief copy editor. In the aviation world, a slotted aircraft is an authorized part of an airplane’s wing and allows it to operate smoothly.
